However, get a dress which you know you will feel like yourself in, don’t go for a tight sleeve-less dress if you never wear this type of style in your normal daily life. It’s also important to go for a dress that flatters your body type. Remember, different wedding gowns suit different body types. Here are some descriptions to help get you inspired:

The Petit Bride
Short brides need to be sure that they wear their wedding gowns, not that their wedding gowns wear them! Think simple details. A straight silhouette flatters and elongates the body. However, if you prefer something more traditional, opt for an A-line – a silhouette that is fitted at the top and widening to a cone shape looks flattering on most body types. Another good rule of thumb is to look for a gown that has a natural waist, rather than a drop waist or an empire, which can throw off your proportions.
The Voluptuous Bride
If you are a voluptuous bride, go for a mermaid dress or trumpet-style gown. These type of wedding gowns have a slimming effect and show off all your curves! A high-waisted A-line dress with a low neckline also complements curves. Tip: avoid spaghetti straps because they won’t provide the support you need.
The Tall Bride
If you are a tall bride, you have been blessed with length and don’t have to worry about any type of shape that makes you appear shorter. This means that you are able to pull off a Cinderella ball gown, an A-line or a mermaid. Our thoughts? Go for the ball gown and dance the night away!
The Apple Shaped Bride
For the apple-sized bride, we recommend getting a wedding gown that’s tight around your bust and then loosen out downwards – play with different layers of material over your tummy area to flatter this area.
The Pear Shaped Bride
A mermaid dress will really show off your curves – however, with whatever cut you decide on, pick a dress that is tight around your bust. You can also add extra details to the bust area to create an hourglass illusion.
